SparkMeter is searching for a Senior Scrum Master/Business Analyst. This is a combined role that will lead multiple remote scrum teams in a complex technical environment as well as assist with the definition of new products and enhancements to existing products. This role will work closely with product managers and hardware, firmware, back-end and front-end engineers for our multi-tenant SaaS applications, mobile app and electric utility metering solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with product managers to understand business strategy, product and feature roadmaps
  • Scope and assess projects and define target deliverable dates with the team
  • Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning and retrospective ceremonies for remote teams
  • Remove internal and external impediments for the team as their servant leader
  • Proactively mitigate risks and dependencies
  • Actively guide the team to deliver to committed deadlines
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure successful end-to-end solutions and timely delivery
  • Work with stakeholders and Product Owners to gather and document business and technical requirements into user stories containing detailed acceptance criteria, and other artifacts as needed (process flows, use cases, etc)
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to develop prototypes, low and high fidelity designs
  • Facilitate sessions with customers and engineers to review requirements, demonstrate clickable mockups, demonstrate new features, and accept and incorporate feedback into the backlog

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a scrum master in an agile environment, leading teams to successfully accomplish business objectives
  • 5+ years of experience working in a business analyst or product owner role as a member of a product development team
  • Technical background in software development or electronics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • The desire and ability to collaborate with team members, business partners, and customers
  • Agile or PMP certifications a plus
  • Must be available to work EST hours, and flexibility for occasional non-standard hours to collaborate with team members across the globe
