Position Summary:


The PV SCADA Services and Warranty Engineer is a vital role responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems used in PV operations. This role ensures that all control system components function correctly and adhere to security protocols across networks. The engineer performs a variety of technical tasks to integrate new systems, maintain existing equipment, and minimize downtime during system failures. Flexibility in work hours, including occasional night shifts, and the ability to work remotely or travel as needed are essential.

Key Responsibilities:


SCADA System Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and equipment.

  • Support upgrades to SCADA systems.

  • Troubleshoot PLC circuits.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and software malfunctions.

  • Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for network issues.

  • Maintain licenses and support documents.

Warranty Management:

  • Handle warranty claims and ensure timely issue resolution.

  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for warranty concerns.

  • Maintain detailed records of warranty claims and their resolutions.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams regarding SCADA systems.

  • Conduct training sessions on the operation and maintenance of SCADA systems.

  • Update technical documentation and manuals.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and potential improvements.

  • Generate regular performance and maintenance reports for stakeholders.

  • Implement data-driven strategies to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PV SCADA systems or related fields.

  • Proven experience in handling warranty claims and providing technical support.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Ignition SCADA software and related tools.

  • Strong understanding of PV systems and their components.

  • Strong understanding of network switching and routing.

  • Strong understanding of SCADA principles.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Computer Science, or a related field.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
