Position Summary
The Product Manager, PlantPredict is a member of the PlantPredict product research & development team. As a member of this team you will work, learn, and grow in Terabase’s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven. The Product Manager is responsible for prioritizing software development activities and ensuring the continuous improvement of PlantPredict. This will require close coordination with our software development team, customers, and business representatives to define and prioritize solutions for PlantPredict users. The Product Manager will monitor user analytics and define KPIs to track to help drive optimal outcomes. This will require working in an Agile Scrum environment, leading a fast-paced team building cutting-edge software technology to deliver solutions quickly and respond to changing market needs and user behavior.
Responsibilities
• Define and deliver a product vision and strategy that is cohesive with Terabase Energy company objectives
• Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of our target customers and our market space
• Conduct interviews with customers, partners, and prospects to gather general data and detailed feedback for specific initiatives
• Drive focus groups with super-users and collect feedback from solar projects under construction
• Define a set of KPIs to measure customer satisfaction and business impact with the ability to analyze them and utilize them in decision making processes
• Prioritize between existing versus new customers, and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence
• Work closely with Engineering and other cross-functional partners to align overall value proposition, product positioning, and portfolio strategy.
• Document business requirements in the form of epics and user stories and communicate them effectively to the engineering teams
• Ensure user-facing documentation including release notes and user guides are accurate and up to date
• Define and enforce general product testing requirements to ensure sufficient scope and timing of testing.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Math, Science or related technical field
• 3+ years of product management experience in renewable energy, utility, industrial or related industry.
• Understanding of software development concepts and technologies
• Knowledge and experience with solar PV design engineering and equipment
• Possess business acumen, leadership potential, and the ability to drive tough decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communicator
• Able to work in a fast-paced exciting environment
• Hands-on and creative with a sense of humor a must
• Passionate about climate techs
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA with Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related technical field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in the solar industry
• Experience in agile software product management
• Knowledge and experience with power/energy performance modeling software
• Knowledge in the operational characteristics of solar equipment (PV modules, inverters, trackers, etc.)
• Working knowledge of API ecosystems, management, and subscription model concepts

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each posted range individual pay is determined (and may be greater or higher) dependent on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
